Germany Hands Out Annual Video Games Awards
A survival action role-playing game was among the big winners at the 2025 German Computer Games Prize (DCP) ceremony in Berlin.

Top honors in the category Best German Game, which carried an award of EUR 100,000, went to Keen Games’ Enshrouded. In it, players take on the role of the last hope of an ancient civilization battling against the Shroud, a creeping blight that absorbs and mutates all life it encounters. The game also won the award for innovation and technology.
Other notable winners were Common Colors / Application Systems Heidelberg’s PRIM, which was voted top family game, and Grizzly Games’ Thronefall, which took the Best Game Design category.
Berlin’s Megagon Industries was honored as the year’s best gaming studio.
The DCP has been awarded every year since 2009 to recognize creativity and innovation in the German gaming industry. The sector is currently worth some EUR 9.4 billion.
